Sangoma Technologies (TSXV: STC), Destiny
Media Technologies (TSXV: DSY) and Novra Technologies (TSXV: NVI) are showing operational
strength with more stock price appreciation to come.
It has been over four months since the Investorfile blog posted its Top Pick
predictions for 2019 among its list of small cap value Top Ideas (See:
Investorfile top pick performer in 2018 may repeat gains in 2019). So far, we are
impressed with each of our Top Picks: Sangoma Technologies Corp., Destiny Media
Technologies Inc. and Novra Technologies Inc. for what they have accomplished,
making them compelling investment stories for the remainder of this year and
beyond.
Our updates:
Sangoma Technologies (TSXV: STC C$1.72) - stock
price up 39% in 2019
Sangoma Technologies
Corp. has been an Investorfile Top Pick for two years in a row, and it has not
disappointed. The Company, which delivers Unified Communications solutions for
SMBs, Enterprises, OEMs, Carriers and Service Providers, both on premises and
cloud-based phone systems, is experiencing significant growth -- both organic
and through acquisitions. Based on fiscal 2019 Q2 results, Sangoma Technologies
has a 12-month revenue run rate of approximately C$120 million now. We believe
this stock will continue to appreciate in value to reflect trading multiples
more in line (e.g. price to sales) with its peer group of other publicly traded
technology companies.

Destiny
Media Tech. (TSXV: DSY C$0.415) – stock price up 51% in 2019

the provider of Play MPE, a cloud-based enterprise Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
used by the recording industry for promoting and distributing broadcast-quality
audio, video, images, promotional information and other digital content
securely through the internet. The recent
deal with Universal Music and interest from other music labels are strong
indicators that the best growth is yet to come for this Destiny Media
Technologies. The success of Play MPE is beginning to be reflected in Company’s
financial results. Last quarter they reported excellent results, generating
strong cash flow. Next quarter, Destiny Media’s financial results should be
even stronger.

Novra Technologies
(TSXV: NVI C$0.175) - stock price up 16% in 2019
Novra Technologies Inc. is the parent
company of the Novra Group of Companies, which includes Kanata, Ontario-based
International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) and Georgia-USA based Wegener
Corporation. Novra Group is an international technology provider of products,
systems and services for the distribution of broadband multimedia content via
satellite and hybrid networks. Novra’s applications focus includes broadcast
video and radio, digital cinema, digital signage and highly reliable data
communications. So far in 2019, the stock price of Novra Technologies is up
slightly but, operationally, the Company has achieved much more. Novra’s recent
acquisition of Wegener Corporation has started to deliver the desired financial
results in the second half of 2018. As such, Novra Technologies reported net
earnings of C$467,000 and C$535,000 in Q3 and Q4 of 2018 respectively. The
stock price should begin to better reflect the positive financial results being
generated and therefore has strong upside potential from current trading
levels.
