Average stock pick yields rise to 123% for small cap value - Top Ideas.
For the first half of 2016 there have been some good months
and bad months for small cap stocks listed on Canadian exchanges. The reasons
for the volatility are multiple and seem to change on a monthly basis,
sometimes based on economical, political or security-related reasons. Each
cause can create negative market sentiment and aversion to risk, and risk is
what small cap stocks inherently possess. Generally, when risk aversion is
high, small cap stock values have headed lower with trading volumes on the
decline.
Despite all the ups and downs in the small cap market,
Investorfile's basket of small cap value stock picks to date has delivered a
total average return of 123%. This is up from the 117% return we reported at
the end of 2015. The high-point (highest stock price close) average return for
all our Top Ideas is 225%. To date, no individual stock has negative returns.
